What is Javascript?

By definition, JavaScript is a programming language which is responsible to run the interactive images, animations, maps and other like objects you see on your web page. New objects, images and animations can be loaded provide the interactive ways to display the content. It works with HTML and CSS which code the content and give styling to the page. The process is to run HTML and CSS before it to ensure that the structure and style are in place when JavaScript start to run.

It can work on both client-side browser and server-side browser allows updating the display and content when required that is why it is referred ad ‘dynamic’ as it opposes the static web pages.  HTML and CSS together create a static web page which makes the page to reload when any information is entered into the process. JavaScript responds to the page immediately, process the information when requested without loading the page again. JavaScript is executed by the JavaScript engine of user’s browser and allows it to run the interactive displays.

Uses of Javascript:

JavaScript is easy to use and learn programming language permits the user to create interesting images or 2D /3D animations that enhance the user experience. Following are the uses of JavaScript:

  • It is used to make certain elements prominent by highlighting them or can show or hide the information.
  • JavaScript works with layout adjustments by knowing the position of the element and browser’s window dimension. By this characteristic, the overlapping of elements can be prevented.
  • The interfaces provided by HTML can be enhanced and improved by JavaScript. Values can be selected by the user from the list where you can reset the values.
  • To enhance the user interface, JavaScript shows some information on the demand of the user. It deters from loading of unnecessary items on the page that could cause hindrance in loading or running of a website or make the page dense.
  • Without the user interaction, different information that is seen by the user can be loaded alternatively.
  • To discourage the repetitive loading of the pages and logins more responsive, it checks if the username is available or not without reloading the page.
  • A number of features are provided by JavaScript for seamless user experience, one of it The search box will give you the suggestions based on the letters typed.

Benefits of JavaScript:

The writing and implementation of JavaScript are easy which does not require any extra software. To run it, a code is included in HTML file that authorizes the browser to know about JavaScript. It works on the user’s browser in offline mode. Highly responsive and interactive displays can be created using it that provides dynamic functionality. Without reloading the whole page, JavaScript allows the user to load the content if required (AJAX).

The testing for graphics and interactive animations can be done, to which JavaScript responds quickly. This programming language can help resolving the issues related to browsers as it can solve the CSS styling problem in particular browsers.
